Energy Efficiency

Lake Pointe is best in class when it comes to energy efficiency. The building features a host of conservation technologies that minimize the residents’ utility costs and carbon footprints.

Building Envelope

Energy efficiency at Lake Pointe started on the drawing board. The team conducted energy modeling during the design phase, which allowed them to identify the best possible ways to insulate the building and prevent air leaks.

Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning

Each unit at Lake Pointe includes its own forced air furnace, central air conditioning, and programmable thermostat. Furnaces were designed to be “right-sized” and every unit is 96% efficient. All units also feature ceiling fans.

Lighting

The moment you step on the property you will notice that Lake Pointe has cutting edge lighting. Exterior lighting is 100% LED and photosensors ensure that it is only on when needed. Inside the units and common areas you will find high efficiency fluorescent tubes and compact fluorescent lightbulbs (CFLs). Motion sensors help to keep the lights off when no one is around.

Appliances

All appliances at Lake Pointe are ENERGY STAR rated (wherever applicable). Residents have all the comforts of a modern home, including dishwashers and microwaves, with the added bonus of significant energy savings.

Water Efficiency

Water efficiency is built into every apartment home at Lake Pointe. Each unit includes water saving technology including low-flow toilets, ultra-efficient bathroom faucets, water saving shower heads, and high efficiency dishwashers.
